storytime, chases and wheels

GG had storytime on the stairs at jesse's this week.
Note that Ethan is behind Briggs.

Here Briggs and Ethan chase each other round and
round at Jesse's...always a favorite game.
Uh, oh....GG is the "patient" while Drs. Everleigh
and Andrew run diagnostics.
Somehow, Briggs ended up on top of Andrew...
pound for pound, they're pretty close in size.

It's usually best to paint shirtless.  Andrew is working
on a bird house and Ethan is checking out the flavor.

Everleigh and Briggs spent a day at the camper
and loved watching the hummingbirds at the feeder
outside the dining room window (look closely for the bird).

Not quite ready for prime time wheels but liked trying it out.

Speaking of wheels, I got some new ones this
weekend.  I bought Greg a Schwinn bike at a garage sale
at the beginning of the summer and he's enjoyed it
so much I got one for myself.
No gears, no hand brakes, no kidding...

Sum, Sum, Summertime

Where did June go?
Here...Andrew & Everleigh rock out...
totally their own moves.

Andrew spent an overnight at our camper and went
"goose hunting".

It was hard to know who had more fun, Grandma & Grandpa
or Andrew.

a quiet moment with a book...
one of the reasons I love this job...

Mom got a ride.

Scott is pushing Ev in the big swing while Greg
gets another meal ready at the campsite.
I'm probably napping :)

Everleigh made cupcakes for Greg's birthday....yum!

We had Iowa visitors over the 4th...
my brother and his wife, 2 of his grandsons
and mom.  The view of the river is from our
campsite.

Overheard recently....

Briggs
Every day when he is waking from his nap I woke in his
bedroom and say "Briggs, how are you?"
One day last week he sat right up and said, "Good!"

Everything he eats is "delicious".

Ethan

Recently, we were looking at an animal picture book.
I was telling him the sounds the animals make.
When we got to the page with the picture of a parrot
I said, "Polly want a cracker."
He immediately jumped off my lap and headed for the kitchen.

Everleigh
She's trying to understand the world
around her.  She always calls me
"Grandma Bunny" but the other day
she said, "Grandma Bunny, why does
my mom call you "Bonnie"?

Andrew
On the playground today there was a boy a bit bigger than
him but about the same age.  The boy was having a hard
time climbing on a part of the monkey bars that Andrew
was climbing with ease.  Andrew offered the boy
his hand and his help to complete the climb.  He
said to the boy "I've got muscles to help you."
