Where is my Camera?

One of the best things about being a Granny Nanny
is that you get to witness a lot of special moments.

One of the worst things about being a Granny Nanny
is that you never seem to have your camera ready to capture them.

Like...

When Everleigh gives Ethan a huge welcome hug.

or
Ethan laughing when he knows he is getting into trouble.

or
Briggs sweetly saying "good night" to Everleigh
when he's headed off to his nap.

or
the look on Andrew's face when he completed
his own smore at the campfire.

These things just have to be etched in the brain.
But recently I did capture this....
Andrew is at T-Ball with Ben and I brought
Everleigh and Briggs to watch and have a
picnic supper.  Here Everleigh has
run to the fence to greet Andrew.
Ethan looks on...

And here Andrew reaches through the fence
to give Everleigh a hug while Ben and
Ethan both look on.  It was such a
sweet, simple and innocent moment.
I didn't have my camera ready but
was able to capture it on my smart phone....
Thanks for that, Gpa Greg!

The Out of Towner

The wonders of modern air travel found Chad
on a layover from Orlando, FL to San Antonio, TX.
He was at the airport for about 3 hours so I asked
GG to stay with Everleigh & Briggs on Wednesday
afternoon so I could make a quick trip to the
airport to meet him.  He had a bite to eat and
we caught up on his family news.  As you can
see, he looks good. It was so good to have an
actual conversation.  Safe travels, Chad!
Thanks for "stopping by".
