Today (April 16) is a day a mother doesn't forget.
It's the day my son, Scott was born....39 years ago.
Yikes!
How did this happen?
I am not much of a cake maker. As you can see
birthday cakes usually were angel food cakes
with an interesting candle...that's it! I would
never make it in today's world of birthday bashes
for kids. The better looking cakes were made
by my sister, Ann, who probably took pity
on my kids and their rather untalented mother.
But....39 cakes is a lot and this year
I did something a little different as the last
photo will show. I enlisted the help of his daughter,
Everleigh and she put her own special stamp
on them. I'm guessing he would say it's
his new favorite (and he doesn't much
care for cake.)
