Thoughts from Andrew & Ethan

While Ami is on maternity leave I don't provide
daycare for Everleigh, Briggs or Foster.  But
I do still see Andrew and Ethan every week day.
Recently, I've been having these kinds of
conversations:

Andy:  "Grandma, did you know that animals
have weapons?"
Me:  "Really, Andrew?  Give me some
examples."
Andy:  "Well, porcupines have quills, shark
have teeth, bears have strong claws,
deers have horns,  alligators have strong jaws."
...and on and on...

After watching a TV segment on doctor
checkups, Andy told me he was going
to get a "ketchup" too.

Andy (dressed as Spiderman, riding his
Spiderman bike) :  "Grandma, I'll be
Spiderman.  Can you be the bad guy?"
Me:  "Sure.  How do I be the bad guy?"
Andy (heaving a sigh of impatience):  "Be Bad."
(Grandmas can sure be dense.)

Andy's table prayer:
"Come Lord Jesus,
Be Our Guest.
Let these gifts
For Crusty Bread."

Ethan:  "I want sumting to eat."

Instead of saying "No", he says "I don't".

These pictures were taken last weekend when
we all drove to Pepin, WI for Laura Ingalls Wilder
Days. (It's her birthplace.)
The boys rode a little train, ate mini-donuts,
watched some old time artisans and saw their
first parade.  Their favorite part of the parade
was all the candy tossed from the floats.
